The Parent Conference at Richland Creek Community Church has been born from a God given passion among the family pastors to assist parents in guiding the next generation of children to become firm in their faith. However, our culture is rapidly changing creating pressure on the traditional family to abandon Godly principles and adopt a mediocre man-centered idea of parenting. For this reason we began a conference to encourage parents to resist compromise and affirm God’s way of parenting. The goal of this conference is to help you recognize ways you have compromised and show you biblical principles to start again. So we begin in 2009 expecting God to bless what we know to be true. We believe that the Bible contains the truths needed to guide the next generation. We believe that parents are the God-given authority in the home. We believe that the next generation deserves parents who choose the best over the easy. We believe that parents must guide the hearts of their children now, before someone else does. Parents of children from newborn through the teenage years, join Dr. Andreas Kostenberger and Pastors John Wright, Dave Miller, Steve Sweeney, Mike Dowd and David Sims for a weekend of renewal and challenge. We cannot wait; we must guide the hearts of the next generation now. |
