Description/Details of Events/Projects:

Kick-off Celebration & Orientation Meeting (Mon 6:30 pm)
This is a time of “RALLYING the troops” and submission to the Lord, acknowledging Him as the one and only God and Savior of the world.  It is a time of dedicating this week of community service and various proclamations of the Gospel to HIS glory; that He may show to this local community His divine love, grace, and truth through ordinary people.  Prayer, a scriptural challenge from Pastor David, instructions for the week, and fellowship will characterize the evening – you will not want to miss it!  

Backyard Bible Clubs (Mon-Fri)
Backyard Bible Clubs will be held for children 3-10 years of age in neighborhoods around Wake Forest led by High School students from Richland Creek.  It will include bible stories, games, crafts, and snacks.

Boys and Girls Club in Zebulon (Tues, Wed, Thur, & Sat)
A DYNAMIC DUO of Richland Creek Singles combined with the Richland Creek Riders will canvass Zebulon neighborhoods Tuesday and Wednesday to invite boys and girls to a gathering on Thursday late afternoon and to a luncheon mid-day Saturday.  On Thursday the RC Riders will take pictures of kids on motorcycles and deliver the finished product within minutes! The finale on Saturday is reserved for a free hotdog and hamburger luncheon where the Gospel will be presented.  Opportunities to share the Gospel in one-on-one situations and to reach out to children with difficult backgrounds will be plentiful.

Community Car Washes (Wed & Thur)
These car washes are servant evangelism projects conducted by the High School students [and families] of Richland Creek to show the love of Christ in a practical way. All Car washes will be free and will include time to invite others to the Creek.

Restaurant Servers Car Washes (Mon & Tues)
90% of the cooks and servers at Texas Roadhouse are college age. We want to reach out and show them the love of Christ in a practical way.  The College Ministry of Richland Creek will be washing the cars of the employee’s of Texas Roadhouse. We call it "Serve The Servers."

Food Drive (Tues & Thur)
Help us invite Richland Creek’s neighbors to join the church in reaching out to hungry souls in the area by canvassing neighborhoods and hanging food bags on their doors with instructions to collect a variety of foods. Tuesday the bags will be distributed by multiple teams of three or more and will be collected by the same teams on late Thursday afternoon. All homes will receive invitations to visit Richland Creek! Please know this is a FAMILY event so register your family as one of a multitude of teams!

House Painting (Tues-Thur)
We have an opportunity to help former landscaper, C. Kohlrausch (who became wheel-chair bound after a vehicle accident), catch up on exterior house work.  His house is located north of Hwy 98 near Falls Lake and needs painting. A small team is needed to paint the home and supplies are provided – just show up, follow instructions, and paint away! Sign up if you have experience with house painting and a steady hand!

Health Fair / Clinic (Thurs-Sat)
Clinic will be located at Richland Creek Community Church

* The Cardio-Metabolic Risk Screening Clinic is for educational purposes only and is not meant to diagnose medical conditions. The clinic risk assessments will be performed by licensed health professionals.

Prayer Walking at Wake Tech (Thur)
Wake Tech Community College is an incredible mission field and we want to set aside time to pray over this school. The College Ministry of Richland Creek will be prayer walking around and throughout the North Campus off of Wake Tech.

Rolesville Service Project (Fri)
Come and help an elderly Rolesville resident with cleaning up her back-yard.  If you enjoy removing things that have become old and rusty and increasing cleanliness and beauty of a yard – then this project is for you!  Also, if you love taking things apart and not putting them back together…this project is for you too!

Free Pizza Friday (Fri)
YES! It is time once again for the bizarre idea of FREE PIZZA for the community. But this time in a picnic style down on the RCCC lower field. We show compassion to our community in these challenging economic times by letting them know we care, and most of all, that God cares too. This is a small way to show the love of Jesus Christ. We need volunteers for set-up and clean-up, serving food and drinks, and for greeting people as they arrive.

Field Day / Outdoor Movie (Fri)
What a fun time this will be as the lower parking lot and sports field is transformed into a dining area for FREE PIZZA FRIDAY, an area for activities yet to be revealed, and at last … and outdoor theatre! This is a youth event so please be sure to invite friends, family, and neighbors!

Celebration Pool Party (Sat)
This will be a refreshing time of fun fellowship to unwind at the end of the week for students and families. Sit back and relax or burn out any excess energy in a variety of water activities!
