What happens when I get there?
You will be welcomed by our greeters who have distinctive name tags to assist you. They are available to answer any questions you might have. Our main welcome center desk is just inside the front entrance. Our greeters will give get to know you and will give you a tour of the facility.  We serve Starbucks coffee, so help yourself and have as much as you like!

    What children's programs are available?
Our children's ministry offers Sunday School for children ages birth through 5th grade. Sunday School is offered during the 8:00 & 10:15 am service times. Legacy Lodge Children's Church is offered during the 9:00 & 11:30 am services. Simply come to the Welcome Center and a greeter will direct you to the correct classroom. We offer AWANA on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.

What do I do before the service starts?
If you arrive before the service starts, you will notice that our Sanctuary is filled with rows of chairs. There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. Many people will be greeting each other during this time. We announce special activities on the large screens by the stage.

    What is the worship like?
Services generally last about 1 hour. Our worship services are a time of joyful worship and praise, with a variety of traditional and contemporary Christian songs provided by our choir and praise team. Video screens on both sides of the stage display the songs we are singing. (We encourage a "joyful noise.") Our 8:00 am service is more traditional with classic hymns. The 9:00 am service is a blend of traditional and contemporary with our praise team and chior. The 10:15 & 11:30 services are more contemporary lead by our worship leader Chad Lister and his band. We believe that God will lead you in the worship style you feel most comfortable with. Regardless of which service you choose to attend, the message is the same. Pastor David Sims preaches exegetically, straight from the Word of God. >> find out more about Worship

    How are guests greeted?
Our greeters will greet you as you arrive. Please let us know you are a guest. You do not have to register or sign your name to anything if you do not wish to; however, we would like to know you were our guest and ask, if you wish, to fill out the perforated section of the bulletin and drop it in the offering plate. Please note there is a place for prayer requests and how you heard about us.  We would love to pay you a visit to get to know you better.

How will I know when to stand?
The Pastor or the worship leader will ask the congregation to stand or sit. Generally we stand while singing & during the invitation song and prayer.

How is prayer used at the Creek?
During the worship service, the Pastor may open the front of the worship center as an altar and invite those who have specific prayer needs to come forward.  We also have an on-going intercessory prayer ministry and our bulletin has a prayer request section.

What is the Pastor's message like?
Pastor David gives expository, line-by-line messages from the Bible lasting about 30 minutes. Downloads and CDs of the messages are available.  There is a request form on the Welcome Center desk if you would like a CD. If you are new to the church, Pastor David would enjoy meeting you.

Do you give invitations at the end of the service?
What are they like? At the end of his message, Pastor David will offer an invitation to anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to believe in Him. He will also ask those who would like to become part of our church family or to be baptized to make that known.

The song that is sung while the congregation stands is an opportunity for you to come to the front of the Sanctuary and talk with a staff member about your needs, pray at the alter or ask our Elders to pray for you.

Decisions that can be made for membership: 1. BY PROFESSION OF FAITH - If you are not yet a Christian but would like to be, or if you are a Christian but have never been baptized by immersion as a believer, which the Word of God commands, our Pastor will pray with you and guide you in your decision. 2. BY TRANSFER OF LETTER - If you are a Christian and a member of a church of like faith and order, we will write to the church where you are a member and request that a letter of transfer be sent. 3. BY STATEMENT - If you are a Christian and have been baptized as a believer according to the scriptures, and do not either have current membership in a church or are currently a member of a church that does not grant letters of transfer, you can receive membership by your affirmation of the above.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?
Richland Creek encourages joyful giving to our Lord. However, our guests are not expected to give anything. During this time, if you have filled out the tear-off section of the bulletin we ask you to drop it in the offering plate.

    What happens after the service?
We want to get to know you!  Please take the time to meet and get to know the folks here at the Creek.  You will be extremely blessed by the love and fellowship we enjoy.  We have a variety of Sunday School small groups.  These small groups are the best place to build relationships, enjoy fellowship, and dig deep into God's Word. Please also get to know our Pastors.  They would love to get to know you and help you if with any needs you may have.

What small groups or Sunday School classes are offered on Sundays?
We encourage people to check out our Sunday School classes in order to get to know other people just like you. Classes are offered for all ages at 8:00, 9:00, 10:15, and 11:30 am. Greeters will direct you to your room and will have the most updated list of adult, student, children's and preschool classes and locations. They will also guide you to your rooms. This is where fellowship, encouragement, and the Word of God becomes real!
