Welcome Seminary Students

I would like to welcome you and your family to Richland Creek Community Church, or better yet "The Creek."  I am quite familiar with the seminary scene—it was a tremendous blessing and experience for me.  I remember getting settled in, wondering what classes to take, and what churches to visit.  As you visit various churches, I thought I would write these things for you to consider. 

Church life is a very important component of your walk with God, providing many spiritual and emotional benefits to you and your family.  I got married while doing my MDIV, so I experienced seminary as both a single and a married student.  During that time I heard from many friends, and can attest to myself, of the importance of keeping a personal quiet time and being involved in a like-minded fellowship of believers that are sold out to God's Word, prayer, and evangelism.  The leadership at Richland Creek is strongly committed to God's Word (including expository preaching and Bible study) and prayer.  Consequently we are less concerned about having a lot of programs.  Ultimately we believe this provides families (seminary or non-seminary) what they need.

Having said that, my prayer is that you will attain great wisdom, learn right doctrine, and fully equip yourself for the work God is calling you to.  If God leads you to this fellowship of believers, we rejoice in His direction for your life.  We pray that you would come ready to serve, give, pray, learn God's Word, enjoy this family, and walk humbly with your God.  I would be happy to meet with you should you desire to discuss seminary life, "Creek" life, or whatever God has put on your heart.  Please call the church office at 556-9292 to set up a time that works for you.  May the Lord richly bless you and your family during this very special time of your life.
