Daily Prayer Guide

Day 1: July 25

Today we will be leaving Raleigh to travel to the Czech Republic. Please pray for safety as we travel, that we would remain healthy, and that all the details (luggage, flight connections, and so forth) would go smoothly.

Day 2: July 26

After arriving in Prague, we’ll spend some time getting to know the city and resting from the journey. Please take time today to pray for our team’s unity, that we would encourage and support one another throughout the week.

Day 3: July 27

Today, we’ll travel from Prague to the camp where we’ll spend our week. We’ll also get our first chance to meet and interact with families coming to the English Camp we’re helping with. Pray for good first impressions with the campers and a safe start to the week.

Day 4: July 28

Today is the first day of English Camp! Throughout the week, we’ll spend the mornings leading activities for the kids who came to camp. Today, please pray especially for Andrea Hart and Mary Beth Crowder, members of our team who are leading the English learning activities for kids; and April Thigpen and Elizabeth Rodriguez, members of our team who are leading the Craft activities for kids.

Day 5: July 29

This is our second day of English Camp. Please pray especially for the team members leading the Recreation activities for kids, Michael Dukes and Wyatt Hall; Zach Gonda and Jason Hall, who are leading the Life Lessons activities for kids; and Michelle Maier, Lu Avila, and Josef Solc, who are leading English lessons for adults.

Day 6: July 30

Third day of English Camp. Please pray again for our team to form good relationships with the Czech campers, and that we would have opportunities to share the good news of the gospel with our new friends.

Day 7: July 31

Today is a special day for English Camp — Hike Day! We’ll be going on a several-mile hike into the hills around the camp, which will afford lots of opportunities to build friendships and share Christ. Pray for strength, safety, and joy as we hike.

Day 8: August 1

We have just a couple more days of English Camp. Please pray today for stamina and energy for our team, both spiritual and physical. Mission trips are tiring, and we need the strength of Christ to stay well and encouraged throughout the week.

Day 9: August 2

This is our last day of English camp. We’ll certainly be sad to say goodbye to the new friends we have made, so pray for lasting connections so that we can continue to build friendships even as we prepare to return home.

Day 10: August 3

We’ll travel today from the camp back to Prague, and spend the second half of the day touring the city a bit more. Pray for continued strength, good health, and safety.

Day 11: August 4

We catch a very early flight out of Prague and will be back in the Triangle by the end of the day. Pray once again for travel details to go smoothly. Please pray also for our team to transition back to “normal” life as we get back to the States and our daily and weekly rhythms.
