studying for ministry?

Richland Creek welcomes Judson College and Southeastern Seminary students who recognize that serving the local church is essential to preparing for ministry. Our pastors and leaders work to provide opportunities for our covenant members to teach, write, and serve in a variety of areas. If you are a student preparing for vocational ministry and looking for a place to impact the kingdom while taking classes, talk to us about becoming a member of Richland Creek.

In addition, we have several specific opportunities for ministry preparation.

Pastoral Cohort Breakfasts

Once a month, all church members who are preparing for pastoral ministry are invited to join our pastors for a time of conversation, equipping, and encouragement. Topics vary from the profound to the mundane, and these are mostly unscripted, along-the-way style conversations designed to give aspiring ministers a glimpse into everyday pastoral life and theology.

If you're interested in joining us for breakfast, email liz@richlandcreek.com to be added to our mailing list.

Summer Internship

Richland Creek hires two college-age interns every summer, from late May to early August, to work and learn in our next-generation ministries, Creek Kids and Creek Students. We give special attention to the teaching of the Word, so prospective interns should come prepared to study and receive feedback. Mentorship and spiritual maturity are also emphasized.

Pastoral Residency

Our Pastoral Residency is a one- to two-year program for those finishing or who have just completed a master’s degree and are seeking to follow the Lord into vocational pastoral ministry. Pastoral Residents will have a full-time leadership role on our church staff while also participating in high-level mentorship to prepare them for active pastoral service.

Information about openings in our Pastor Residency will be posted here as they are available. For more information about the residency, email Pastor Jason at jason@richlandcreek.com.
